ABOUT THE SOUTHWEST KANSAS STORM

It is with great pleasure that we present to you, the SOUTHWEST KANSAS STORM! Starting the 2022 season as a new franchise, we are excited to bring Indoor Football back to Southwest Kansas! We at the SOUTHWEST STORM are proud to be owned and operated by a group of local business leaders who are passionate about the community, as well as the great game of football, including Dr. Jammie Phillips, Drs. Chad and Brock Kerr, and Kurt Litton of Dodge City; Tom and Julie Harmon of Ingalls; Jeremy Farr of Garden City; Jeff Hilger of Lakin and Dennis Boyles of Liberal. Our coaching staff will be led by Coach Mark Timberlake with the assistance of some familiar names, Brandon Venson and Marquis George. You might remember them from their time playing for the Dodge City Law. Coach Venson will be the Offensive Coordinator and Coach George will be the Defensive Coordinator.

We look forward to an exciting season including Entertaining halftime events, charity-driven promotions, and high-scoring football are all just part of what fans will experience! And with that in mind, I want to welcome you to the world of professional football! The entire SOUTHWEST STORM organization is looking forward to making this relationship a great success. Our guests at the arena and Corporate Partners are not merely customers, you are literally an extension of our team. We can’t wait until game time on Sunday, February 27, 2022.

United Wireless Arena

The United Wireless Arena is a multi-purpose venue in Dodge City, Kansas. The arena sits adjacent to the Boot Hill Casino and is connected to the Boot Hill Casino & Resort Conference Center. The United Wireless Arena and the Boot Hill Casino & Resort Conference Center are both managed by VenuWorks.

It was originally known as the "Dodge City/Ford County Events Center" before United Wireless purchased the naming rights to the facility in 2010.

The conference center is one large space (7,200 square feet) that can be subdivided into 6 separate areas. The arena has a seating capacity of 5,300 spectators.

The arena became home to the Dodge City Law of the Champions Indoor Football league from 2014-2017, 2021. The arena hosts sporting events (KSHSAA State Volleyball & Basketball tournaments, NJCAA Basketball playoffs, MMA Wrestling matches) along with music concerts, comedians, beauty pageants, family fun events like Harlem Globetrotters, and more!
